Food Ads!

I like catchy ads, but also ads that don't bull shit their way around the product. Just tell me what it is and ill be happy. I don't like celebrities doing food ads because I personally don't care what they eat. I usually eat organic things and not many organic things are put on commercials. Usually I just find random things that look good at the supermarket. Like we said in class jingles do get stuck in everyones heads but that doesn't mean were all going to buy that product, I know the jingle for the boloney commercial but to be honest I have never tried their boloney.

This tyson chicken commercial always makes me laugh. After watching Food Inc. and seeing how they truly do grow chickens I think this commercial is just ridiculous. You have a bunch of little kids naming off what type of food they don't like, and of course its all the veggies that they name off. But then out of nowhere you have the tyson chicken nuggets appear and the kids go crazy for those, in the commerical they state that they are using natural ingredients, and how kids will love it and moms will love it too. But what natural ingredients are they using? No one knows. All they're saying is how good the chicken is. Also on the tyson box it states that there is no fat in this chicken, how can that be possible everything has fat. They're advertising their gross chicken to these moms that want their kids to be healthy, but I truly think this chicken is not good at all. I have tried it before, and it just does not taste good to me.

  1. I agree with everything you have said. With the celebrities, they probably do the advertising just for the money. I like the commercial you chose, I always thought this ad was cute with the little kids and their facial expressions. After watching Food Inc. in class, I now think twice about Tyson chicken.

  2. I guess watching certain stuff and seeing what goes on around us makes us realize what is really in that chicken. They have those anytizers... they look so fake and disgusting haha but the kids are cute.. maybe thats whats supposed to be catchy? But now like you said I think twice also on what I eat.

  3. I totally agree, some commercials like to not be very specific about certain positives to their product. They keep vague as possible so that no one really thinks to look into what their actually stating about the product.

  4. I like how you said no one knows what those chicken nuggets are made of, and that they advertise it as 100% natural ingredients. Honestly, who knows if there's even any actual chicken in those chicken nuggets? That's why I stopped eating Tyson and those products awhile ago. "100% natural ingredients," that's what I think is bull shit.

  5. I agree as well, companies seem to use broad generalizations about how great there food is and try to make it sound like it's the best thing in the world for you when usually they are only misleading.

  6. Ads are just over rated now a days. I guess the only way to really find out what your eating is to pay close attention to the labels and whats in the product it self.

  7. Food companies are always going to somehow lie about there product to make theres look better then others but it would be nice if they would just tell us what it is. It is pretty gross that we don't really know what the chicken nuggets are made of but people are always going to buy them because they taste good.

  8. This kind of reminds me of dog food! Saying it's made with "all-natural" products and you look on the side and the first ingredient is "chicken by-product" I don't even know what that is. I wonder what Tyson's ingredients look like. I'm tempted to look it up!

  9. I also agree about the celebrities endorsing products in commercials because they are probably just doing it for the money.
